Content introduction
《Your profile, the melody of the seashore, the dreams of the four seasons carried away by the wind》
February 5, 2014, Lamp's new album ``Yume'' oozes into the shadows of the times.
This is Lamp's 7th album, which is so unique that it is difficult to talk about specific genres or other artists. The content can be described as ``music for music'' with a strong aesthetic orientation that is different from ``Lamp Fantasy'', and in particular ``Sachiko'' and ``Sachiko'', which have a high level of harmony between complexity and beauty. It is no exaggeration to say that songs such as "Symphony" and "Autumn in City A" elevated popular music to the realm of art. The styles of city pop, Brazilian music, harmony pop, etc. that have been used for them can be seen in this work, and it is safe to say that the content will more than satisfy fans who expect such aspects. Not worth it. The new work ``Yume'' is the perfect result of musical sincerity, creative desire, and imagination, and is imbued with a clear vision and unwavering sense of values. This attitude could be called "Lamp style rock." The jacket features a drawing by Seiichi Hayashi, a painter and illustrator who represents the youth culture of the 1970s and is known for his illustrations for Lotte's "Kome-chan" and the manga "Red Elegy." It adds color to the delicate and lyrical world of Lamp.
Media coverage reviews, etc.
This is the 7th album by Lamp, a trio of men and women who have gained loyal fans with each of their works with their meticulous and dense pop music. While inheriting their previous styles, which have been described as city pops, Brazilian music, and harmony pops, this is a record that beautifully culminates in their musical sincerity, creative desire, and imagination. About the artist
Lamp profile
Formed in the winter of 2000 by Taiyo Sometani, Yusuke Nagai, and Kaori Sakakibara. With every release, he has gained many devoted fans due to his time-consuming and thorough production approach and detailed content, not only in songwriting and recording methods, but also in the world of words, concepts, and even artwork. I've done it. Although he is influenced by Brazilian music from the 70s and 80s and psychedelic music from the late 60s, he does not view it from a world music perspective or a Western music supremacist perspective, but rather from a contemporary Japanese and contemporary Tokyo perspective. It is created as music. While he has a sense of nostalgia and aestheticism, his free ideas about music create a unique worldview. He has released six albums to date.
