The Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was developed as a homologation car for participating in global rally races and in 1992 5,000 units were sold worldwide. This car, with its curved, powerful body, features a 2-litre turbo engine with metal turbines and water-based intercooler system that produced 235 hp. The 4WD system utilized a medium visco coupling and a Torsen rear differential for excellent controllability and traction. In global rally races in 1993, the Celica GT-Four for Toyota (ST185) brought both the manufacturer and driver championships for the first time. The 58724 TAMIYA model in 1:10 scale is the proven TT-02 chassis. With this wheelbase, ground clearance, track and gear ratio can be adjusted many times and with the countless optional tuning parts, the chassis can be quickly tuned to a racer. The 4WD drive with central shaft, double wishbone and suspension struts on all four wheels ensure a true driving pattern and best traction.
