Kata Masaru Kato is involved in an accident on the subway. The next moment, Kato finds himself in an apartment building. There, he meets the Tokyo team, who are devastated by the loss of their leader, Kurono. He is then teleported from the GANTZ room to the streets of Osaka, where flames are rising due to a mysterious phenomenon. He encounters the Osaka team, full of quirky characters, and fights against a powerful army of monster-like aliens, the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons. He meets Yamasaki An, a member of the Osaka team, who is a single mother who has thrown herself into the fight. Though thrown into a series of shocking events, Kato fights a life-or-death battle with the Tokyo and Osaka teams in order to return to his younger brother, his only family member.
