It features an unpainted casing that gives it a more "modified" feel. The MECHA-CREAM PAN BOOSTER is an evolution of the Cream Pan Booster, delivering an even cleaner, more transparent booster. The transistors have been changed to bring the tone to a more modern level. The MODE switch also lets you adjust the brightness, especially when used with a tube amplifier or distortion effect. While the difference in tone caused by the MODE switch is small, you'll notice a difference in the balance of the tone when you actually play. Specifically, there are slight differences in the compression strength (saturation) and brightness of the sound. It also has two internal switches. These two switches allow you to change the clarity or brightness of the tone. The TONE1 switch brightens the boost sound. The TONE2 switch enhances the clarity of the tone, especially when the VOL knob is near the center. What is modification? The word "modify" means to fix something, but in the context of effects pedals, it refers to remodeling. Modified pedals are pedals that have had functions added to them or parts changed to adjust the tone. While it's common for effects pedals made by other manufacturers to be further tweaked, the MECHA-PAN BAKERY Series are modified versions of Effects Bakery pedals.
