Amazon Review
This full-length album, released simultaneously with "Yura Yura Teikoku no Memai" (Vertigo of the Yura Yura Empire), is bursting with imagination, easily shattering the image of a psychedelic, serious three-piece band. It kicks off with the post-rock and electronica-inspired opener "Hungry Gaki no Uta." Featuring a striking female chorus throughout, an overly effected beat, and a guitar reduced to a mere sound, the album toyed with the listener's free rein, transcending the band's style. The lyrics, filled with a sense of stagnation, are realistic, but the way they elevate this sense of anxiety and absurdity to the level of sound production is striking. A stunning coexistence of social and sexual aspects. (Ishizumi Yuka)
Media Reviews and More
This two-disc concept album divides the worldview of Yura Yura into two extremes. "Yura Yura Teikoku no Shibire" is sometimes acoustic, sometimes futuristic, and overflowing with rock excitement. The album features a mellow approach and contains sweet and sad songs never before heard before, while "Yura Yura Teikoku no Memai" features a mellow approach and contains a total of nine songs. (C)RS
