Thinlits dies (model number 661190) allow you to cut a wide variety of shapes using your Sizzix home die-cut machine. This product features Wildflowers, a design by popular creator Tim Holtz. Compatible with: Sidekick, BIGkick, Big Shot, and Vagabond machines. A pair of cutting pads and a platform are required for use. If using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform & Shim, an Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter is required. If your design has a complex pattern, it may take up to three passes to cut the Thinlits die. If you need additional ejection to easily separate the die cut from the design, place wax paper between the Thinlits die and your material before cutting. The platform can also be embossed when combined with an impression pad and silicone rubber sheet. Stenciling involves placing a die on the material and marking the indentations in the die with ink or chalk. This technique can be used on its own or to enhance an embossed design. A die cutter is always required because it requires mechanical pressure to cut the material. If you're unsure whether you can die cut a particular material, check the die compatibility, not the machine. First, obtain a Big Shot Machine (660200) and a standard cutting pad (655093). Take one cutting pad and place a Thinlits die on top. Next, place your chosen material on top of the die. Place a second cutting pad on top of the Thinlits die, sandwiching it between your chosen material and you're ready to go. Simply rotate the die cutter once to cut your design. Note: If you want to use Thinlits dies with one of the Sizzix Big Shot machines, you'll need the adapter platform (658992). If you already own a Big Shot machine, the adapter is included.
