Goldfish were introduced from China in the mid-Muromachi period. While considered a luxury item at the time, the practice of raising them as ornamental fish spread among townspeople during the Edo period, and they have since become a widely enjoyed summer tradition.
[Caution] As this is a traditional dyeing technique, please be aware that color transfer may occur due to sweat or friction during the initial use. When washing, use plenty of water and hand wash alone. Avoid soaking.
