"Dragon Quest Builders" is a block-making RPG where you create items and towns using everything you see. An original work that combines a "sandbox game" in which players decide their own goals and RPG elements unique to the "Dragon Quest" series. The world of this work, "Alefgard", has many continents, and the main character first focuses on the continent called Melkido. In each region, there are ruins of towns from a time of peace, and the purpose of the adventure is to revive them. Revive towns one after another and bring light back to Alefgard, which is shrouded in darkness. The charm of the Dragon Quest series is the characters drawn by Akira Toriyama. There are two main characters (a boy and a girl) designed by Toriyama in this work, and you can choose which one you like. Their mysterious power to create items and towns will open up the world. In order to revive the devastated world, the protagonist will be tasked with building a town. The first important thing when building a town is to gather materials by crushing the terrain and defeating monsters. Next, create items using materials. Then, all you have to do is place the items you created and build a building. These three processes of “collecting,” “creating,” and “building” are the basis of the game.
