EL1 ALPS 10K for PS4 – 4 replacement analog joysticks for the PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Wireless Controller, commonly used with PS4, Slim, or Pro. These OEM repair parts are manufactured by ALPS and include a 10KΩ side trimpot resistor. (For the Hall Effect version, see B0CYBRZ2YP.)
[Compatibility] – We offer two ALPS models for PS4 and PS5. The difference is the resistance value of the potentiometer, which can usually be distinguished by the color of the side plastic. EL1 is gray and 10K ohms, while EL6 is black and 2.1K. Some PS5 controllers come with green side plastic, which is also 2.1K for the EL6. We strongly recommend measuring the resistance value before ordering.
[Bonus Gift: Drift-Correcting PCB] – Joystick drift is a common problem. Even new joysticks can drift. Potentiometers are born without precision. Carbon film wear, spring fatigue, and material stretching can cause mis-centering. Dust, moisture, and dropping can make this problem worse. To solve the problem of unidirectional drift, we've included a PCB as a gift. Simply adjust the variable resistor to eliminate the drift.
【When to Replace】--You should replace your analog joystick if your controller has issues with drift, creep, stutter, blind spots, dead zones, no response when clicking, or not centering after years of wear. Genuine OEM repair parts ensure accuracy and extend life.
【DIY Reminder】 – With 14 prongs, soldering the entire module requires considerable skill. To resolve most joystick issues, we recommend replacing the potentiometer first. To desolder the entire joystick module from the PCB with a regular soldering iron, please see our desoldering kit with product ID: B0BK7169M8.

EL1 ALPS 10K for PS4 controllers
4x Replacement analog joystick is widely used in PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 wireless controllers came with PS4, Slim or Pro. Normally, you can distinguish them from the color of the side plastic. EL1 is 10K ohm in gray, while EL6 is 2.1K in black. Some PS5 controllers come with green side plastic which is also
EL6 2.1K
It’s a hard time to de-solder the problem module with as many as 14 prongs:
✔ Replace the white disc alone even without soldering
In some cases, you can just replace the little wheel in the potentiometer sensor to solve some specific problems like: Dead spot, blind spot, dead zone, creeping, or not as responsive as it should be
✔ Replace the potentiometer sensor alone with an iron
According to some estimates, 80% chances of joystick problem was caused by the potentiometer. In another words, the rotary mechanism and the tactile switches are not the problem. You can simply replace the side potentiometer sensor alone to solve most of the problems
✔ A heat gun to replace the whole module
This is the most suggested for an experienced soldering expert
✔ Experts with a normal iron to replace the whole unit
For a soldering expert with no professional de-soldering wick braid, solder sucker pump or hot air rework station at hand. We suggest crushing the problem joystick into small enough pieces with a pair of pliers. It will be more easier than de-soldering the entire 14Pin unit
✔ By professional technicians in a cellphone repair shop
Suggested for someone with no handy tools
