[Easy to Use and Accurate Matching] Easily switch between the built-in EDID and external EDID with a single button. The default internal EDID supports 4K@60Hz 4:4:4, while the external EDID supports 4K@120Hz 4:2:0. Press and hold the button for three seconds to enter copy mode, which captures the latest external monitor's EDID, including video and audio format details, into the emulator for accurate HDMI screen emulation. For surround sound, copy the EDID from a display that supports 5.1ch or 7.1ch audio, as the preset EDID only supports 2.1ch audio.
Prevent EDID Loss: Supports EDID copying and emulation when connecting to devices such as splitters, switchers, and extenders. Cable quality and screen aging may affect the success rate of EDID copying. Try a different setup if necessary.
HDMI 2.1 & SCDC: This product supports HDMI 2.1 and complies with HDCP standards 1.4, 2.2, and 2.3. It supports resolutions up to 1080p@240Hz 4:4:4 and 4K@120Hz 4:2:0, but does not support 8K resolution. This device features HDCP pass-through, allowing access to the display's HDCP key when properly connected to an HDMI output device. Without HDCP, the screen will display a blank image or revert to a lower resolution. Additionally, this model facilitates 10x and 40x frequency control for SCDC handshaking and supports display hot plugging. However, it does not support FRL handshaking, which is required for 8K resolution.
Bidirectional Design: Automatically detects HDMI direction (sink and source auto-detection), supports both forward and reverse connections, and allows you to choose to connect an EDID emulator on the computer or display side, providing more convenient installation and application options.
Supports headless operation, no monitor connection required, even when the display is turned off. Powered by the HDMI source device; no external power supply required. If you are unable to copy the monitor's EDID, try a different monitor, a suitable HDMI cable, or test using the internal EDID.
