Pit-Road 1/700 Skywave Series Imperial Japanese Navy Ukuru-class Coast Defense Ship (Set of 2) Plastic Model W257
The Ukuru-class coastal defense ship was designed to reduce labor and shorten construction time compared to the previous Mikura-class coastal defense ship. Twenty ships were built between June 1944 and March 1945.
In addition to additional anti-aircraft machine guns, the ship's anti-submarine capabilities were improved with 16 Type 3 depth charge launchers on each side and stern drop tracks.
